Billboard's contents page's main focus is the long shot image of pop singer Hayley Williams dressed in white and red looking rather jolly. I think this immediately creates a happy mood across the page as it is in the centre of the page. On the left of her is title names and pages with the same consistency throughout, (same font used for the titles and page numbers) and on her right is a strip of 3 images, with page numbers in the corner. This clearly shows that the layout is split into three columns giving it a professional, simple-to-follow layout. Not only is there a title for each page but for each section there is also a subheading, which clearly states what each will include e.g. 'features' and 'music'. This will help the reader identify/find what they may be looking for.
The title 'CONTENTS' in block bold capitals has a kind of broken type of font which could symbolize that the pages within the magazine are broken into sections again making it easier for the reader to understand. I don't particularly think the genre Pop immediately comes to mind when looking at this page because the font looks quite formal and not 'fun' as you would think Pop would reflect. I would take this into consideration when creating my own and think about the colours and
