The image of Florence and The Machine fills up just over half of this double page spread and the name of her new song "got the love" is the title of the two pages, which is in black, on top of the magazine's name "USA". It clearly tells the audience what these pages consists of - and anyone interested in her or the particular genre of Indie music may have a read. I like the layout because it is simple and not crowded. The storyline says, "She's 2009's biggest success story, with America at her feet. So why is Florence Welch on the floor attacking herself?" The first line in a way introduces her to those who may not know her, then the question of her attacking herself on the floor is sort of.. unusual, therefore may draw in people to read the article.
The information is in three columns on the right side of the double page spread. I think the amount is just correct - it isn't too small, not giving enough news, and there isn't too much which may frighten the reader away. I will take into consideration the amount of writing I will put on my own music magazine using this as guide. As I also like the enlarged image of Florence and the colours used - red is a bright bold colour which is attracting.
