The genre of this is R&B and clearly is about Jamelia, "THE QUEEN OF UK R&B ON FINDING HER VOICE, AND FEELING EXPOSED" - the two images of her show that these two pages are all about her and how she got where she is today. The colours used are consistent and are also easy to read. The use of orange and white show the interview's questions and Jamelia's answers. I think the black background goes well with the colour of the text, and it reflects the genre of R&B. For example, colours like bright pink and bright blue wouldn't really match this genre, it would go more with Pop. Also, the amount of text again is again is just right - not too less and not over the top.
I particularly like the presentation and unique style of the way the images are transparent and can be seen through the colour black. I like this one double page spread more than the previous one as it is more unique and more appealing. I can tell that the designer of these pages have put a lot of thought and effort into it and I may use these ideas on my own music mag. The way her name has been put on itself, isn't just plain and boring. The letters are filled with the actual image where it overlaps, and the rest of the image is black and white.
